From here, they would ride to the
River Road campsite, about 12 miles inland.
There is no campsite for the horses in Oscoda. They just begin or end their ride here. At the end of the day, riders return to
clean the parking lot and walkways.
Oscoda is a beautiful city. I wish I had taken some pictures of the scenery I drove past, but I felt rushed. I wanted to take
advantage of the cell service by connecting my phone as a hot spot and uploading my first set of pictures to this website. I
wasn’t sure when I would be able to do that again on the trip.
